The operational body charged with providing leadership and directing the implementation of the movement’s vision is the body of Custodians. It is currently composed of seven individuals drawn from the regional blocks of Africa. Current members of the body of Custodians are: ANPPCAN, represented by Ms Wambui Njuguna (President of the Movement )
 The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) is a pan African network that promotes child rights and child protection in Africa. It has national chapters in 22 African countries with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. ts mission, in partnership with others, is to enhance the prevention and protection of children from all forms of maltreatment, thus, ensuring that the rights of children are realized. ANPPCAN National chapters are found in Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. he achievements of ANPPCAN were recognized when in 2004 the Organization received the Kellogg’s Award and in 2006 it was selected from a field of over 50 Child Rights Organizations throughout Africa, and emerged the winner of the first ever African Union Children's Champion Award. CONAFE, represented by Dr Moussa Sissoko (Vice-president of the Movement) Coalition of African NGOs working with children, (CONAFE), is a Pan African coalition of NGOs working for children. Its executive Secretary is based in Bamako – Mali, while, its sub-regional coordination offices for Eastern, South Africa and the Indian Ocean is based in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania and for the, Central West Africa is based in Dakar, Senegal. CONFAFE mainly provides support to 1000 organizations NGO, Associations and Children’s movement)
UCRNN, represented by Ms Stella Ayo Odongo (Member, Eastern Africa)
Uganda Child Rights NGO Network (UCRNN) is a coalition of child focused NGOs; both national and international, working to promote the rights of children in Uganda. Established in 1997 UCRNN currently enjoys a membership of about 95 organizations operating in various parts of the country; giving UCRNN a fairly representative national outlook. It’s overarching mandate is to coordinate various child focused NGOs at national and grass root level for better information sharing, undertaking joint initiatives and formulating a collective voice on Child Right issues.
ENDA, represented by Mr. Aime Bada (Member, Western Africa)
Environment and Development Action in the Third World, (ENDA) was founded in Dakar (Senegal) 1972 as a joint programme of the United Nations Environment Programme and the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning. On June 27, 1978, ENDA turned into a non-profit international Organisation with Headquarters in Dakar (Senegal).NDA is an association of autonomous entities (teams) which are co-ordinated by an Executive Secretary: 18 thematic teams operating in the Dakar headquarters, each of them working on development and environmental issues and 14 nodes working in several Southern countries: 6 in Africa, 5 in South America, 2 in Asia, a representation in Europe. ENDA is a member of the Convening Committee of the “Global Movement for Children”
Child Rights Institute represented by Mr Yassir Shalabi (Member, Northern Africa )
Child Rights Institute (CRI) is a Sudanese NGO working in the field of child rights. CRI is working to disseminate of information on the Child Rights Convention and other human rights instruments, train personnel working with Child and Human rights organizations and institutions, design and implement projects related to child rights and human rights, conduct research and studies related to children and build capacity of NGOs and institutions in Sudan. CRI is a member of the Human Rights and Legal Aid Network, Sudanese Network for Abolition of FGM, Peace Network, the Advisory Committee of DDR and the Blue Nile Consortium.
ACPF, represented by Dr Assefa Bequele ( Secretariat )  ACPF is an independent pan-African policy and advocacy centre working on child rights. It was established with the conviction that putting children first on the public and political agenda and investing in their wellbeing, is fundamental for bringing about lasting social and economic progress in Africa. The work of the Forum is rights-based, inspired by universal values and informed by global experiences and knowledge. The Forum aims to provide a platform for dialogue; contribute to improved knowledge of the problems facing children in Africa; identify policy options; and strengthen the capacity of NGOs and governments to develop and implement effective pro-child policies and programmes. It also provides legal protection and support to victimized children through its Children’s Legal Protection Centre. RAPCAN: represented by Ms Samantha Waterhouse (Observer)
RAPCAN (Resources Aimed at the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) works to promote the rights and protection of children in South Africa and the region.RAPCAN delivers direct services to children and families, aimed at promoting the rights and protection of children. It also undertakes training and develops resource materials with a view to strengthening the quality of work undertaken by others in relation to children and families. Its advocacy work is aimed at ensuring that legislations, policies and practices are consonant with the international children’s rights framework.
